"Our dog Teddy, loves going to Woofers. In fact he doesn’t want to come home with me when I pick him up! Our dog is somewhat "enthusiastic" and large (between 120 and 130 lbs) and can be a bit of a handful but Bren manages him very well. We have found we get some side benefits as well, as when he comes home from Woofers, he is much better behaved, which of course we appreciate very much! We love the "Teddy's blog" that we receive, telling us about how his day was and pictures. Our dog is a precious member of our family and it's such a relief to have a place where we can take him to be looked after when we have to go out of town and we know he's happy and being well taken care of. We don’t' know what we would do without Woofers!"

"Ziggy our Leonberger and Otis our Doodle spend a lot of time at Woofers because our jobs regularly take us away from home, sometimes for three weeks at a time. Because they stay at Woofers so often, Ziggy and Otis think it’s their house too! They and Max are great friends and they think of Bren as their “deputy Mom”. Neither dog is ever worried about being left at Woofers and we are never worried about leaving them there – we know they will get lots of love and hugs and plenty of doggy company too. Hi. My name is Lucy. I live in Metchosin with my parents who like to play golf. Sometimes they go away golfing and I get to go to Auntie Bren's. She has a big dog named Max and sometimes other big dogs stay with her. I really enjoy playing with the other dogs in her big backyard. When I get home from Auntie Bren's, I am sometimes tired from playing all the time with the other dogs. But then, I realize that it is good to be home, and that soon, my parents will want to go away golfing again.

“We are thrilled to have found Woofers to leave our dog, Nikki, with when we are travelling. We don’t like the idea of leaving her in boarding kennels, but we travel quite frequently and Woofers is the perfect solution. Nikki was accepted in Bren’s home as if she was one of the family. The large yard, abundant toys and other dogs to play with made this a vacation for Nikki!!! We absolutely recommend Woofers to anyone who is looking for in-home boarding!” Gloria

What can I say? Woofers is, by far, the best place to leave your furry family member. It's difficult to find care for your dog where you feel 100% satisfied, but we found it! It was so important to find a home for Zion to stay where he wouldn't be crated (not even at night). Zion is as spoiled as they come, and now he is even more so because he has the privilege to stay with Bren (and Max, too!). Zion stays with Bren when we're visiting family in Victoria and to him, it's a holiday too. He is so well cared for and has so much fun and exercise, when we go to collect him, he hardly notices we're there! Bren is the best there is and I recommend Woofers with the utmost confidence. After letting your dog stay with Bren once, you'll never look for another boarder again.

My puppy means the world to me and when I met Bren and found out she operated Woofers I was thrilled. Bella (being a puppy) tends to eat all sorts of nasty things, so to find someone that would watch her just as carefully as we do was a godsend. We went on holiday and I never worried about her, knowing she was in a safe and loving home away from home. In fact Bella was a little sad when she came home, she had so much fun at Auntie Bren's. I will use Bren's wonderful dog home care again.

We went on a 4 week holiday and unfortunately couldn’t take Rocky with us. We checked out every kennel we had heard of but couldn’t face leaving Rocky in a kennel for such a long time. So, when we read about Woofers we thought we had found the perfect place for Rocky. It turned out to be exactly that. He got all the TLC he needs, lots of walks and all the doggy play he so loves. I especially loved the mails Bren wrote for Rocky.

Since then Rocky has stayed with Woofers several times. It is such a relief to have found such a great place and I can only recommend it.

In the summer of 2009, we needed to leave Kaya, our youngest and furriest family member, in a "home away from home" as we headed East for three weeks. We decided to choose Woofers. Not long after we left, we got an email from Kaya, detailing all the romps she was having, so with our minds completely at ease as to her welfare (not that we expected otherwise!) the only worry was that she wouldn't want to leave when we came to get her! And sure enough, though she looked in fine form when we picked her up, she was a little down in the dumps for a day or two after she got back to her real home--clearly, she missed the fun and frolics So be warned, one and all, if you happen to send your loved one to Woofers, the pressure may be on you to entertain a pet who has had Too Much Fun! (Next time when we come pick her up, we'll know to arrive already wearing the clown suits...)

"Dwaine and I had many reservations regarding leaving Duncan and Bertie with anyone because of Bertie’s old age and ill health and Duncan’s very ‘enthusiastic’ view of life. However having asked Bren to look after our ‘boys’ we no longer have any worries. They love going to visit her, rushing up the path to her front door to see her and we are able to get away without any doggy tears knowing that they think of Bren as a second mum."

What luck to find a place like Woofers! We like to try to take Kobe everywhere we go, but that is not always possible. When we do have to leave him behind, Kobe is always excited to go to Woofers - he has a great time there as if it were a "dog vacation" for him. It is comforting to know that the person taking care of your dog loves him as much as you do! Though we often think of him when we are away we never have any worry - we are confident that he is well cared for AND having a wonderful time.
